Two successful FHLE projects within the call "Change My City"

Two FHLE projects have been successful within the call "Change My City" announced by the city of Nitra in cooperation with the Nitra Community Foundation.
The first supported project Fontana NR is the idea of Department of Garden and Landscape Architecture led by Soňa Bellérová, the aim of which is to improve the appearance of the fountain in front of the Nitra court and the mobiliar in its surrounding. Department wants to show and draw attention to that, that with creative approach this space can contribute to more pleasant life for inhabitants of the city. At the same time, it is an important relaxation zone that improves the urban climate and has a positive effect on the overall urban atmosphere. The project is supported by € 5,000.
The second supported project Chill out zone is the proposal of Department of Vegetable Production led by Marcel Golian, the idea is to build the missing green relaxation zone for university students as well as the general public supplemented by newly planted trees, edible herbs and info panels about the history and present of the largest university in Nitra. Aim of the relaxation zone is to keep students in "nature" and not in shopping centres, during days and summer months this space can be used by the general public. Created area will also passively educate in the form of labels on planted trees or herbs. The project is supported by € 4972.
