The focus of this department is on the structural, architectural and dendrological aspects of the urban greenery, natural or semi-natural vegetation. The core aspects of teaching and research is on evaluation of the landscape architectonical values of the urban open spaces and proposal for their improvement and revitalization, the development of recreational sites in urban, peri-urban and open landscapes. Significant attention is devoted to the research of historic parks, historical landscape structures and green infrastructure.
