On November7, the Scientific Conference of PhD students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Food Resources, Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences and Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering of SUA in Nitra was organized under the auspices of the deans of the said faculties.

There are new laureates of the prestigious Science and Technology Award of the Slovak Republic. Among the awarded awards are two teachers from the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra - prof. Ing. Miroslava Kačániová, PhD., and Ing. Attila Tóth, PhD.

October 21-23, 2019. Recreation facility CROCUS, Kežmarské Žľaby, 059 60 Tatranská Lomnica, Slovakia. ENVIRO international conference has a longterm tradition since 1995. During this period, ENVIRO provided space to a number of mutually intertwining fields of science, research, applications, trends and guidelines for the active support of environmental quality improvement. It is geared towards finding tools to correct the disturbed ecological stability and inefficiently exploited natural resources and the rural landscape. It focuses on the issues of water and soil management in the landscape, climate change, land consolidation, landscape conservation, landscape architecture, green infrastructure, urban space, waste management, and supporting tools modeling various risk natural phenomena and anthropogenic impacts by Geo-information technologies, and on environmental interdependence of agricultural and horticultural land use.
