The Agroforestry study program is a unique offering at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra and the Technical University in Zvolen, as it is the only program focused on the integrated use of agricultural and forest landscapes with an emphasis on the practical application of the principles of agroecology, landscape planning, and sustainable land management. The second-cycle program is oriented toward preparing experts capable of designing, managing, and evaluating agroforestry systems in Central European conditions. It provides interdisciplinary knowledge in the fields of plant, forest and animal production, ecology, bioeconomics and public policy, with an emphasis on biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation and the efficient use of natural resources in accordance with applicable legislation.
GRADUATE'S EMPLOYABILITY
A graduate of the second cycle (Master’s level) study programme in Agroforestry is prepared to perform professional and managerial positions in fields related to the design, implementation, and management of agroforestry systems within the landscape.
