LANDSCAPE IN FOCUS
18.03.2025ERASMUS+ PROJEKT / LANDSCAPE IN FOCUS (LIF-T)
Tools for Small Municipalities for Sustainable Landscape
Objectives
- The project aims to develop professional expertise and enhance the qualifications of representatives from small and medium-sized (rural) municipalities, where personnel capacities, competencies, or resources are limited or reduced. Thematically, the project focuses on landscape planning and management in the context of climate change. Its goal is to raise awareness among local government representatives about best practices for improving biodiversity and combating the effects and impacts of climate change, as well as promoting the importance of the landscape among the wider public.
Implementation
- As part of the project, digital educational materials will be created on the topic of rural landscape protection and development, providing tools and practical information on how to implement best practices in small municipalities to mitigate the impacts of climate change. To facilitate access to this information, an online brochure will be developed.
Results
- The project will present 20 case studies showcasing best practices from small municipalities in four European countries (Finland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia). Additionally, a practical guide and a project website will be developed, covering at least eight key topics tailored to local government representatives with limited experience in rural landscape protection and development.
